3 days later, many changes

We had an opportunity to stop by after work to see what changes have occurred since Tuesday.  Luckily the patio door was left unlocked and my son was able to climb up and get in otherwise we would have been "sol."  This is what we saw....so exciting...

I was extremely happy to see our kitchen is taking shape.  Cabinets are in, double oven is in and so beautiful, one of the countertops is in, floor is in....it all was breathtaking.  The dishwasher is sitting in the morning room for now.  Crown molding is up in some of the rooms, doors has been installed in most rooms, the railings are sitting in the living room for now so I am assuming those will be in this week.  It's all really coming together so well.

Brick + Stone = happy homeowners

Stopped by after work to see the stone work and I really love it!  I had been a little anxious about how the final product would come together and I'm so happy with the result.  Looking forward to the red door and the final shutters being added (window above the front door).  Garage door has been installed and our faux granite countertops were sitting in the garage.  Eventually I want to replace these with something, probably not granite because I'm not interested in the maintenance but some sort of hard surface.  What I am really looking forward to is the under mount sink, not a fan of the drop in but again this is something that will be done next year or even the year after that.  It's not a high priority on the list for now.....new furniture, patio, and fence are first.

I received a warm welcome to the neighborhood by fellow blogger Rosita!  It was so nice of her and her family to stop by and introduce themselves.  So far everyone I have met has been very welcoming and nice.  I'm so happy to have great neighbors and a great neighborhood!

Next up on the schedule is cabinets that are scheduled to arrive on the 24th.

Lock that in!

On Tuesday we locked in our rate at 3.75%!!  I was so excited that I was literally dancing around my office!  Yesterday was a big day for inspections and everything passed.  Drywall should start going up tomorrow, mudding next week.  Siding should begin as well.  Still waiting for a new official closing date, sounds like June 5 or at least will be that week when we return from vacation.  Everyone's updates are amazing!  Look forward to seeing more...

Pre-drywall and Guardian Meeting

We had our pre-drywall and Guardian walk-through today.  Everything looks great!!  Our PM is awesome!  He is very detail-oriented and everything he has told us has been exactly right on the money.  We are very happy so far.  Our final walk-through is scheduled for May 24.  That sounds great however we are on vacation May 25 - June 2 so we'll see how this will play out.  Not really worried, my husband and I and the PM all agree that nothing will be moved up, only moved back so looks like we will close when we return that first week in June.  Here are a few pics...
