Has anyone added a wireless keypad to their garage door opener?? After a quick google search it appears to be fairly simple to install and cost about $30. I wish the one that you get from Ryan had this feature but it doesn't. I now fully understand why some people elect to get there own garage door opener after closing.
Check the manufacturer's website. I think most if not all major brands have a common keypad-style opener you can buy. It's like programming a universal remote and then mounting it outside.
ReplyDeleteCheck the back of your opener, if it has a purple square button, that is the programming button and you can get this: http://www.amazon.com/Liftmaster-377LM-315MHz-Garage-Keypad/dp/B000G7TAUS/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1349140573&sr=8-6&keywords=liftmaster+371lm $18, works great.
ReplyDeleteCheck the owners manual for your garage door opener. It should have instructions on how to program the wireless keypad.
ReplyDeletewe have a garage door installed with the build (through Ryan) and we have a wireless pad at the door. You did not get one? or am I misunderstanding?
ReplyDeleteI specifically asked 3 times if we would have a keypad with out Ryan installed garage door - and they said yes all three times... I would make sure you get it
ReplyDeleteYou can ask the company if you can't seem to find it in the manual instruction. I think they will be glad to help you.
